Concerned A Lender Didn’t Check Affordability? Learn The Process

Educational overview

Credit providers must assess affordability. If you believe this did not happen, there are free routes to raise a complaint to the lender and, if necessary, to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS).

Our administrative support

  • Templates for your own lender complaint.

  • A checklist of relevant documents (bank statements, credit history snapshots you already hold).

  • An outline of typical timeframes and next steps.

Boundaries

  • We do not submit complaints for you, represent you, or engage with lenders on your behalf.

  • We do not charge success‑based/percentage fees.

  • We do not advise whether you should complain or the outcome you should pursue.

Signposting

If you want a firm to handle a complaint for you, consider an FCA‑authorised claims management company or an SRA‑regulated solicitor. You can also complain directly to the FOS for free.

Disclaimer: Information‑only. We do not provide regulated claims management services.
